In the pages of a book I pray you not to look. Yet you thieved away a single sight Whose written words brought delight. Oh joyous days are back again. Your rotten fear has turned dark dim. Nothing wrong, or so you say For nothing bad was found that day. The small black book, In whose pages dwelt fears and feelings that I felt. She kept them well and held them safe. Till that night your rage did race. Now I know your feelings true. Now I know my word to you, hath no power that I see. For you’ve opened a secret part of me. |
