I don't mind lonnnnnnnng postings, Or verse that's heavy or light. I'll take my own advice And promise to try hard To post a poem cOrReCtLy. Could everyone now start? :-) hehe |

ummmm xuse me?... what's the really importnat thing?? being correct?? or being understood?? I've read hundreds of mis spelled childrens poems... and it didn't distract me from the meaning at all... (geesh)... no smoking no drinking no mis-spelling section.. is over here ~~~~> (that's a joke by the way)..(grin) |

Just a thought...:-)) I imagine that to post something that's emotional is quite hard for some and if they stop to check their spelling they may take fright and we would miss the view into their soul But it's just my way of thinking (as she checks her spelling Hugs ------------------ You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give. |

redwriter - i understand more correctly if i don't have to stumble over misspelled words. And it is a good habit to get into. Just sharing my pet peeve with everyone. I am sure i misspell sometimes too. I am more concerned with the habitual misspellers, and the poems that are teeming with poor little words that have missing/extra letters. Rainbow....my view into their soul is disrupted by my brain having to stop and decipher what word is supposed to be there. Thank you both for taking time to read my poem. :-) [This message has been edited by Genea (edited 08-09-99).] |

I'm with you all the way, Genea, trying to decipher bad spelling, typo's and lack of punctuation makes reading hard going for me, too. Good one! |

oh oh - I've gotta feeling lil Genea is talking about me When looking into some souls, the less you see the better it is for everyone involved in the peep show. (Now! Where DID I leave my flashlight?) |

Sue, Yes, i agree......and i don't mind one typo or even 2 in a piece......it's the ones with a typo per line that is my pet peeve. AND i am not talking about the common computer shortcuts like 'lol' or 'u' for you and such. And LngJhn....i don't name names. :-) I guess i just feel that if folks are proud enough to post their works, their souls on here, they would take the time to double check before they click "Post". |
