The last time we fought, You were down on your knees. I refused to give in To your insistent pleas. You crawled ever closer, I pulled back instead. I'd not satisfy you, Or heed what you said. You lifted you hands, You beckoned me near. Your requests that I yield, Fell on my deaf ears. I retained my position, I refused your demand, To crawl from under our bed, And fight like a man. |
