Romance .... how I love it .... for years I complained about the lack of it .... even though I knew that everyone is deserving of it .... Everyone is entitled to pleasure and delight .... in whatever form makes them happy .... without compromising their integrity .... but .... it wasn't till recently .... that I figured out that I could seek out things .... that interested me .... I could take moonlight walks .... I could sit in the rain .... I could write poetry till two a.m. I could cry at sad movies .... I could light candles in broad daylight .... I could help a friend .... and be their sounding board .... and never pass judgment .... these are the things that make me who I am .... they are a part of me .... and when I am me .... I am romancing myself ..... allowing myself paths less traveled .... and remembering .... that life is meant to be lived .... and that is the essence of romance .... |
