Sonnet (Love turned on you)

I believed my destiny would come.
He would appear straight from my dreams.
New emotions to learn from.
But nothing is ever what it seems.
Instead I fell in love with you.
Not quite the "man" I hoped for.
Our friendship not the main issue,
Cause our love remained behind closed doors.
As I finally decided to quit,
I'm drawn back into your arms.
You have to keep my fire lit.
All your friends are under your charms.
Love turned on you and I was more than a friend.
But being scared to love me, we came to an end.
