A puff of steam and Nature's youngest child awakens.
Softly Mother Nature coaxes her child into consciousness.
Sad to see her baby in such a state, so different from when she first went to sleep.
So much has been taken from her and little or nothing returned.
Nature's beautiful child all soft and white.
It's a shame she has to be brought out of her long, deep slumber,
And she wakes so violently;
Anxious to restore some of all that has been taken from her.
She quivers, quakes and sends billows of ash miles into the sky,
Covering herself with a warm blanket to bring new life to her fields.
Then she rests and takes account of all she has done.
As she looks on she grows angrier and angrier,
Pressure builds until she explodes with a force
That levels and burns acres of her prescious timber;
And her beautiful mirrored lake is no more.
Where Nature's lovely white child once stood,
Now creeps a dark deformed dwarf;
And she weeps for her child and blocks out the sun in mourning.
The greed of mankind has taken its toll, taken till nothing remains.
Mother Nature looks on and grieves at the prospect
Of having to rouse her other children;
To help restore her Beautiful Earth!
