You were there
When I was young
To tell me to hush
And bite my tounge

You were there
When I was sad
To hold my hand
To make me glad

You were there
When I was happy
You were my best friend
Mr. Sappy

You were there
When I got into trouble
you always made laugh and
The punishment doubled

You were there
Through all the years
But now, my friend
You have disappeared

You left me when
I needed you most
I guess you thought
I wanted you to go

Mr. Sappy-I miss you
I didn't want you to leave
Now you're not there
To help me believe

*I remember When I was young I had an imaginary friend, but as I got older and troubles were worse-I found that my friend no longer exsisted-I guess we all must grow up sooner or later *

I had an imaginary friend.. her name was Laura and she walked me to school everyday in kindergarten thru third grade.

But i don't call her imaginary anymore.

She's very real, if only to me. But then, that's all that counts right? (smile)

I had heaps of imaginary friends - Anna and Rosemary were the principle two. (Oh and Boy-monster when I was really young!) They never argued with me - that was the best part. Nice poem.
