You came into my life and I ask myself why?
What reason, what purpose are you there?

If you are the love of my life then why are you not with me, why are we not together now and will we be in the future.

Why do some people get to be with the ones they truly love and others do not. The answer torments me so. Do I just let it go and let the fates takeover or continue to hold onto it like some beautiful treasure.

Do I wait for you when our lives are so different
I need to find adventure, excitement, peace of mind.
With you I fear I cannot find any of these.

I must let you go now and find my own way
If my road leads back to you then life is truly kind and fair.

It's too hard to hold on, we are at such different places in our lives.
You are at a place I have been to already
I cannot go back there for my own peace of mind

And you cannot give me what I need either
We both know that but I refuse to see
Blinded by a love that is so real and true

I must go on with my life and let you go
You cannot be what I need you to be

So goodbye for now my one true love
I'll love you forever with all of my heart!!!

That is a hard thing to let go.
If you love something, set it free,
if it comes back to you, it's yours.
If not, it was never meant to be.
