Crystaline lace adorns the vast night sky. Born from the kiss of frost Faeies, Upon the falling raindrops. Huge, fluffy flakes, Kaleidoscope across the black of evening. To blanket everything in white, That sparkles like faery dust in the moon-glow. My window pane, edged in frost fronds, From the Frost Faery's playful dance. She choreographed her ballet just so, A magical gift untamed and free. This winter scene framed specially for me. T'was surly a gift for my eyes to see. For when the new day dawns, And sunshine glistens upon my window pane. Rainbow prisms burst forth, To dazzle my vision for one moment more. As the frost fronds fade. Sharon Lee Rotondi (Enotneicna) |
