Forget my friends, all that I've said before.
Love is for Saints and fools, I am neither.
I am filled with the darkness I adore.
The last ten years were only a breather.

There is glory to find in sweet sorrow.
This coldness of soul makes me feel so warm.
Spite has stolen joy, making me hollow.
Be warned, I have unleashed this inner storm.

Hate rages at the core of my being.
Love is an endearing, seductive lie.
A glimpse of my soul would send you fleeing.
You can't escape so why bother to try?

Some day I will rest and take my last breath.
Until that time, I will court Lady Death.

This is well written Dream, none of us are saints or devils....just somewhere in between trying to make sense out of this thing called life.

He's giving my nightmares frights.
And his poetry's only partly why.

Hey there, Dreamie. Another well crafted poem, albeit a tad darker of soul than I usually court.

Knowing the source of inspiration for this poem, I must say this is expressed in a perfect manner, Dream. I feel for you greatly, and I understand as well. Just hang in there. Keep your head up. It's hard, I know, but it's the only way to make it through. The more of yourself you put in to your poetry, the better it becomes. I can see that. Be strong, love.

You certainly have a God given talent for writing.
Sometimes it is difficult to forgive others, but even harder to forgive ourselves.
I sure would "hate" to see you go out that way!
