The wind rushed past my face Didn’t get me this time I remember the stinging the last time It will never happen again I say The wind rushed past my face Didn’t get me this time I remember the flashes of red I can scream but who will listen Everyone hears but who will listen The wind rushes past my face Didn’t get me this time I can remember the recovery I still feel the burning of the open wounds The stinging of the peroxide It will never happen again I tell myself The wind rushed past my face There is now some resistance Do I dare duck my head? that was a wild ride.. i really liked it.. hard to understand at times though, but i think that adds to it. |

Your poem hit home with me. This is one of my own pieces below. I will look forward to seeing more of your poetry here. Memories of Me Do you wake up in the night Wishing I was yours again? Do you sleep with dreams… Memories of me My heart in your hands Your hands 'round my throat Eyes black, tears of blood Streaming down my face A chill on my soul Fearing your screams Your hatred Nights wasted with no rest Afraid to close my eyes Demons in my dreams and One beside me in bed Do you wake up in the night Wishing I was yours again? Do you sleep with dreams… Memories of me Taking out your existence Cleansing my life of you Leaving you there Never beside me again Yet always behind me I look to the future With always one glance back To make sure you are not there Sleeping with one eye open Never knowing full peace Living for the day you are gone And I find sweet release caroline/all rights reserved ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |
