You say to me you speak the truth But I hear only lies I can't believe it took so long For me to realize That never was it me you loved But just the things I do Oppressed, insulted and controlled Back bent by serving you You took my heart but scorned my love And I cannot forgive The guilt and blame you laid on me The way you made me live I did the only thing I could I packed and walked away Three years have passed with no regrets My life began that day And to this day I hear you say You want back together But when I left and said good-bye It was meant forever ------------------ Steven Seaman |

great poem, rhythm is awesome. You really captured your broken heart in this one. I just hope you can forgive this person. Unforgiveness only hurts one person. YOU not them. That is all I have to say. Keep up the great work. J |

Excellent. A wise man once said, Do anything for a person you once loved.....except love them again. This poem is a very nice way of saying, "you blew it, b--ch." |
