Where do all the warm feelings go? The ones that made the struggle of life easier to bare. I can’t remember when it began to die Not even sure of the reason why. How could something that brought such joy Now only bring pain and emptiness. Could it have been neglect, or just a lack of nurturing? Could it be that I grew up and saw it for what it was? Going no where, not enduring or even satisfying! Could it be that you took it foregranted? Could it be that the love was one-sided, And therefore drained all the love out of me? No matter when the death started or even the cause of the death. It is dead, never to be revived! It lives in the memories that are in my head. And all because our love is dead. Good piece. I don't have a taste for free verse developed, but this one was quite poetic. ------------------ Shall I indulge in flights of fancy hampered by clipped wings? DreamEvil© |
