When you give me roses...even just one...I put them in a vase full of water...They are always so beautiful...Some people ask why I keep them when they die...My answer is always...A rose is a rose it withers and dies... so long as you keep it the memories survive...I do not know why I reply with this...I just do...They're pretty alive...They're pretty when they die...I know ya'll don't understand...But how would you feel if you were to die and instead of a beatiful funeral we tossed you aside...So when my lovely roses wither away...I simply keep them in a box...For some other day...When I feel the need to cry or when I'm thinking of you...I open the box...and again they bloom...So please now that I have explained...When I keep them...Don't think I'm insane...I simply love the thought of you...And of course my beautiful roses  ------------------ We see only what we want to see~unless perhaps~we believe [This message has been edited by Princess Lily (edited 07-30-99).] [This message has been edited by Princess Lily (edited 07-30-99).] |

I agree completely - except whenever I dry they seem to go icky. I think what you wrote is really lovely. |

My wife does the same thing. She has several beautiful vases full of rose petaled memories. I too liked the line: *A rose is a rose it withers and dies...so long as you keep it the memories stay alive* Nice thought. Thanks for sharring. |

I need some roses, prefereably dead, That I can palm off on my Honey instead Of your bouquets with their pricey fees. Princess....breathing makes LongJohn feel devilish.....but when someone writes something as thought provoking as you have here...it kinda makes him go crazy....You'll see how he is soon....he's the type of guy that on Valentine's day, takes his "honey" to Kmart....let's her pick out her own card, then lets her swing by and take advantage of a blue light special..then takes her to Hooters for a nice meal.....Whatta guy! |

Little Lily, its all a lie, Toerag really is a real sweet guy. He loves to give his sweetie pie Everything he can (he really tries). Including... A fancy ring made of glass, A second hand movie pass, Power tools that run on gas, And lots of new Playboy mags. But wait, there's more... He gives her the silence that she needs, By watching wrestling on TV. He drinks lots of beer so she won't see Him lose the girth that hides his knees. Are you convinced yet?... That he is just a romantic fool, Who last Christmas gave her tools, Who exercises on barroom stools, Who watches women while he drools? Well, I'm glad we got all that straightened out...
