My pride stands in the way of my love for you I'm so sorry I lied, I thought it was the truth Since the day I realized my true feelings for you I've stood here silently not knowing what to do I know it's my fault, I made you wait to long Will you ever forgive me, I know I did you wrong I watch you live your life silent in my pride all the while wishing I was standing by your side I dare not come near you, the pain's too easy to see I have to wait for you to come back to me Should I ever cross your mind and walk your heart again Please let me know, I'll be waiting until then These things you'll never know, I'm too stubborn to let you see Too proud to let you know what you mean to me No one can hear me, no one knows I lied No one understands 'cause I'm silent in my pride Deanna [This message has been edited by deannamarie (edited 07-28-99).] [This message has been edited by deannamarie (edited 07-28-99).] |

Very good work here! Pride can be a wonderful thing, yet when it comes to love sometimes the loss out weighs the conviction as all fall's true with words from one of the masters: They who go Feel not the pain of parting: It is they Who stay behind that suffer Henery W, Longfellow ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If with pen in hand I've made you think I've not wasted one drop of ink vlh. |
