My Cell What is Joy? What is Peace? I know Sorrow. I know Grief. Pain and Suffering- They are Hell. They are my cell- Where I dwell. They hold me inside these walls And all the while the outside calls. Wanting me to live my life- Never-mind my toil and strife. And so I listen with a sigh- As the world rushes by. ------------------ The world is in your hands; it is what you make of it. keep on chuggin' |

This really made me think of something...wouldn't it be nice if we could just turn off all our feelings & just function like robots? It would be less painful...but then, we wouldn't be the beautiful & complex creatures that we are!! I'm sure we wouldn't be writing poetry !!! Good work - really nice thoughts! ------------------ - poet FemmeFatale "The strongest man in the world is he who stands most alone..." Henrik Ibsen (1826-1906) Norwegian dramatist lyric poet |

Thanks FemmeFatale, your compliment meant a lot to me. I do wish I could sometimes just turn off my emotions. ------------------ The world is in your hands; it is what you make of it. keep on chuggin' |
