There isn't a place to which you could flee, To keep yourself hidden or free. No cave or shelter you could find, From these storms within your mind. Raging rivers of emotion pull you left to right, Consuming air and obscuring your sight. Torrential rains affect your gait, Pushing you forward at an alarming rate. Jealousy booms and flashes before your mind, Common sense and logic always will it bind. Anger, despair, glee how these emotions elevate, With love how these feelings do perpetuate. Happiness and peace, however, finds you, Clearing the clouds;sun shining anew, And in time life again will ensue... |

My mind/emotions keep me shipwrecked most all the time, so I know where you're coming from! Very well spoken/written. I liked it! ------------------ - poet FemmeFatale "The strongest man in the world is he who stands most alone..." Henrik Ibsen (1826-1906) Norwegian dramatist lyric poet |

Most excellent wording! I've been there, I prefer peace to torrents of emotions, but I've been there, more times than I care to remember. |

Let me tell you, I feel much better now knowing that I'm not the only one going through these "storming" phases. Thanks a lot. |

I read this one again, and am still moved by it, so I think I'll just send it right back to square 1 for more reviews !! I should keep a notebook of your work since I love all of it...or you could just publish and make it easy on me - ------------------ - poet FemmeFatale "The strongest man in the world is he who stands most alone..."
