Within me lives a tiny soul I do not know his name - Although I haven't seen him yet I love him just the same... This tiny soul will ever be A gift that I've been given - He's like a dream come true to me A gift that's straight from Heaven. Reminded - every time he moves How priveledged that I am - To bring a life into this world God knows - I'll do the best I can...... ------------------ - poet FemmeFatale "The strongest man in the world is he who stands most alone..." Henrik Ibsen (1826-1906) Norwegian dramatist lyric poet |

It is very special-both pregnancy and your poem! I know your child will enjoy reading it when he is old enough! |

Very nice sentiment to this piece. I had to bring it up from the depths. ------------------ Shall I indulge in flights of fancy hampered by clipped wings? DreamEvil© |

May I suggest Michael for a name...(Just Kidding) Seriously, I have found nothing in life more fulfilling than the love of a child - I hope you find the same. Michael |

Well, I'm a bit shy about my personal life, we don't talk much about our lives off the Net, but thank you to all of you! Actually, my son is 4 yrs. old now, his name is Hasten, and he is the love of my life.....You guys all thought I was like a REAL NAUGHTY little girl, huh? Well, YOU'RE RIGHT!! But I am a mother, & thankful to be....luckily his father found a new home.....I put an add in the paper ( pet section) "MAN - free to good home!" It worked ! Some poor sap took the bait ! Picked him up & took him off my hands a few days later!!! Been happier ever since! But "lonely.." (sigh) Can't have it all !! ------------------ I beckon you to come...I lure you with my tongue... - poet FemmeFatale |

Congrats, Femme ... single mothers are the most amazing persons on the planet. Jeez, the "Free Man" ad ... wish I had thought of that three years ago when I needed to get rid of my ex ... As far as being lonely ... don't sweat it, God has someone out there for you ... took me 25 years to find mine ... yours will be along soon ... anyway, how can any man resist a woman with a signature line like that..? ------------------ "Nunc lento sonitu dicunt, morierus" (Now as I hear this bell tolling softly for another, it says to me, "Thou must die.") |

Beautifully sweet work, PoetFemmeFatale..and good luck on the quest of being a single mother. ------------------ *Krista Knutson* I see the world through the loving eyes of my heart, and suffer the pain of unfulfilled visions. -- Daniel L. Miller |

Thank you again to all of you! You're so SWEET, I didn't know you guys had a "soft" side !! LOL And thanks Nochtdraco....your message brought me some hope...I've always wanted to believe that someone "higher" than us, knew more, and had things worked out ahead of time for the best....My son is my life, and he changed my life in many ways, made me a much better person, and I actually like being a single mother - I'm very stubborn and independant....so it's not so bad! As for his dad, he's not a bad person, we're friends, he's just not for me.........I'm awfully picky! ------------------ I beckon you to come...I lure you with my tongue... - poet FemmeFatale |

Oh Miriam...my heart goes out to you....I can't even imagine what you've been through. Don't be hard on yourself, everyone's situation is different. I don't believe in judging people, because for one, it's not our place as equal human beings, but we don't know eachothers circumstances, so how can we judge fairly....? We can't. Hold your head high, and be strong - we're all here to learn from our mistakes. My situation made me a far more beautiful & loving person. Before, I was quite selfish & only thought of myself....a child teaches you to put others needs before your own. I'm here if you need to share....feel free to e-mail me. **hugs ------------------ I beckon you to come...I lure you with my tongue... - poet FemmeFatale |

Well! Congratulations, PFF, and good luck to ya...your son is sooo lucky to have a parent like you! I know that he will love this poem one day, if he doesn't already. ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." |

PFF: Well done! A very gentle piece that summed up the experience nicely I may not have carried our children for nine months each, but I was there for every (and I do mean "EVERY") doctor's appointment, birthing class, and eventually both c-sections... did the cutting of the cord and first bottle feedings. Now a days its nightly readings and homework with my eldest in kindergarten, going home for lunch to play with the youngest one and going for walks when I get home in the evening. Its about as close as I'll ever get to what a mother feels during those nine months. Just doing the best I can. Sounds like you're doing the same and doing it right. Keep up the great work, both at home and in these halls. |
