Straight out of bed - I sat up last night Awakened by a cry Or was it just the wind outside From my lips escaped a sigh Looking out my window - I couldn't see Anything - but the moon Just darkness howling - night winds blowing And shadows dancing in my room. I leaned my head against the glass To find it very cold Moist with drops of nighttime tears Tears that fall from young & old. I crawled back into bed at last And laid there feeling all alone That's when I knew the cry I'd heard Had been my very own........ ------------------ - poet FemmeFatale "The strongest man in the world is he who stands most alone..." Henrik Ibsen (1826-1906) Norwegian dramatist lyric poet |

Sounds good for Halloween-very freaky! And sad to-there are many different ways to look at it. The first time, it scared me, and the second time, I realized it could be taken a totally different way... [This message has been edited by Elizabeth (edited 07-27-99).] |

I've often felt this way, and you've captured the exact atmosphere to a T. Great work |
