Although death steals & takes away - it can also bring a brighter day...... I've seen the time when skies were gray - When thundering winds blew dreams away - When ears were deafened to the cry - Of a child slipping slowly by... But if a soul is troubled so - With no one there to hear his woe - Sometimes it seems a better thing - To let his soul sail 'way on wing... To sail away means giving up - The whole idea of growing up - Sometimes it's best to hold on tight - Just give it time - you'll win the fight! ------------------ - poet FemmeFatale "The strongest man in the world is he who stands most alone..." Henrik Ibsen (1826-1906) Norwegian dramatist lyric poet |

I really like this. I remember many times when I have just wanted to give up because everything is too 'hard', but I've kept going. If we were meant to be happy all of the time, we wouldn't have all the other emotions - fear and pain and sadness etc. I think they make you stronger. Your poem expresses this concept really well. |
