Wonderful! And when we read a great poem, do we thank a Balladeer? I believe so! |

The trees I saw were Aspen. I suspect someone else saw Palm trees. If anyone didn't see the forest, I'll let them use my glasses. |

Wow! You wrote a forest ... I thank a tree each day for my job. What would a bureaucrat do without paper? A |

There are so many thing in this poem that I am thanking a tree for, Michael. There certainly is something spiritual about them. Sometimes driving on the coastal highway I see the mighty Douglas fir being laid low with disease. I've heard that it's a moth that causes it, but they turn to rust, and it's sad. All the things we gain from our forests, we need to protect them better and I wish they stayed within our own boundaries instead of being sold and then buried at sea. You capture the the beauty and the bounty of our trees well. They help supply the very air we breathe. When you live in a logging community where the mills have all closed, the value of trees becomes more and more evident. I see clear cuts and hills replanted, but most of the economy here rested on the conservation and harvesting. Now it's tourists and sand dunes and a little ocean fishing. Thank a tree, yes! |

Aren't we grateful for our archives....a tree is from where many art forms should be grateful for...as we are grateful for your wisdom. |
