Of laughter lost |

It blinds like the sun, and hotter than fire burns, a desire, of all lost, to reclaim laughter, and yet be no fool, but to contain the feeling, but why, to laugh is to go insane, for one who has seen darkness far too long is blindened by sunlight and starlight; for others, to face silence, would mean madness, but alas, for me to face laughter, is madness. Woe! I make the worst horror in the world gasp in fear, but to laugh, a simple thing, tis a world lost! |
