eternally in my thoughts........ still without you

you look at me, and say,
its hard to think, we could have fell in love,
im losing you today,
now that my friendships not enough.

you pull me close,
and say youve missed me,
and your eyes kiss me softly,
without a word, youve underestimated me.

was i an infatuation in the past,
that you needed to overcome,
did you need to need me at last,
for her love to be enough.

i remember crying to you,
and you sayed my tears,
spilled across your soul,
so now i have to ask,
how can you be this cold?

i always intrusted you,
to always be with me,
my best friend,my brother,
i guess i tried not to see,
i was a love test for another.

if our roads had taken us different ways,
maybe it would all be different,
i cared for you to much,
to let us fall in love and risk it,
and that is why you have her,
because she loves you so,
and your heart will regret me eventually,
remember, i told you so.

ill see you later,love you sayed,
as if nothing had changed,
now its been eternity,
and i wish it were the same.

when we were simple minded,
and simply loved each other,
no falling in love fairytales,
just cherished times with one another.

sometimes i stop to think,
if it was really ment to be,
but your no longer in my life,
so ive forced myself to see,
that my friendship was eternal,
while yours had its conditions,
if i couldnt make love to you,
i became beyond your comprehension.

my best friend i love you,
no matter what lies in my thoughts,
and i want to thank you,
for the lesson you have taught,
friendships can fall wreckage to love,
when the love you have is not enough,
time changes, and people let go,
still inside it hurts to know,
my "eternal friend",
was nothing more,
than a self absorbed man.

I don't know why anyone hasn't responded to this poem but me...I wish I would have read this sooner..I know exactly what you put into this poem. Thanks for letting me see what I need.

your welcome and than kyou, im glad my poem ment something to someone besides me, god knows i still feel the memories from this one.thanx for responding.
