For as much as a man can understand the emotions this poem involves, I do. Thank you so very much

Very nice, Elvira. You gave me a jolt there for a moment. But I'm a person who gave a puppy to a grown daughter just so I could keep it in the family. So I am touched by such things.

I liked this poem. You are so brave to give up your baby! I'd have to hide in the closet with mama kitty til the kitten is gone!

elvira -- paws for thought indeed. Yes, alas, one day we all have to be parted from those we love... and from family... But hope those kittens find a good new home... could/should you not keep and cherish one though?

I'm replying because I want to bring this to the top. More people should read this. I notice your poems always involve lots of emotion. I was told the best poems bring some kind of emotion. And this one like all the rest does. It brought tears to my eyes. This is a beautiful poem.
