Oh, they were so crazy today
they kept me at work, no play
Oh believe me when I say
This mommy's lost her mind

The first thing when I woke up
my floor was full with chocolate syrup
and of course I had to clean it up
my children are so kind

Then, naptime came and so did tantrums
He insisted there were phantoms
and she had to use the bathroom
about 50 million times

No nap for me...not a surprise
and you can tell by my dark eyes
my five year-old is telling lies
instead of nursery rhymes

Then dinner-time and we went out
I WAS NOT cooking-have no doubt
That's NOT what mommies are about
There's more to us than food

Now after whining for the meal
the chicken nuggets were a steal
but would they eat? no way... get real!
and now my pocket's screwed

Now bedtime is on the way
but of course, they want to play
nothing works...what can I say?
let them run amuck

I'm so tired I don't care
I ignore the wear and tear
I toss my hands up in the air
oh well, oh what the f**k!!!

As the Mom of a five year old...Boy do I hear you...and can those darn Nuggets get any more expensive, and why is it they beg for them, but never eat them, and Chocolate syrup, I feel for you, I awoke to Waffle Crisp in designs on the floor (Mommy,,,the kitties did it...mmmhmmm)and bedtime...Hah! You think they were heading off to war, but actually, that's what getting my daughter to bed is like, and....

(You see you got me going!! I loved this!! Thank You for making me laugh!!)

We had four and though the youngest is now fourteen I remember. I remember!!! Nice post. It made me smile. Thank you.
