Violence and vengeance, rage hate and pain, have become my litany again. Suffering and loving are never far apart, a woman today took away my heart. By random chat a poetess arrived to help me while away my time by trading rhyme. For posting her verse, she had a single fear, someone stealing it, I said, Oh dear. From the moment you write it, the copyright's intact, that my dear is a solemn fact. She took my ear, then bent it clear to here. Told me off for calling her dear. "If I ask for special treatment, then you can give it to me. Until then, don't feel the need to talk down to me. I'm a smart girl" It spun me in a whirl. Why be honest and why be frank when common courtesy draws a blank or worse a comment that's rank? Common courtesy is a dime store fantasy, a thing you shake out when you cannot do without Agony. ©1999 DreamEvil ------------------ I am not responsible for how you choose to interpret what I say. Very good work! However, I don't believe that calling someone "dear" is talking down to them, or giving them special treatment. I think calling someone "dear" is a nice way of letting someone know that they are dear to you. Don't fret... she will go on. ------------------ ~one voice~ *You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.* |
