It was the nighttime of my soul, scattered among the memories of broken dreams and promises, where no one ever sees, the painful longing in my eyes as I stand alone and search the ever changing skies looking for the one who can, gather together this drifting man. And if I find it not, I will pull from within my soul, the pieces of the puzzle that again will make me whole. And though my life is darkened still, it is only twilight.. my eyes adjust to the loss of you, as my soul begins it’s fight, to step into the future where, the world I again can face… But beside me there will always be, a small and lonely space. |

Oh WOW! I love the line: my eyes adjust to the loss of you... Beautiful poem! ------------------ ~one voice~ *You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.* |

Why does all this sound familiar?...i loved the sound of the strength and being brave... while at the same time admitting to the pain of empty space... |
