My One True Love

My one true love:
I love you more than words could ever express.
Sometimes I think, maybe, you were sent from above.
You were sent here for me to love.
I dreamt about you for so long.
I always had your picture in my mind.
I knew you were the one from the moment I first saw you.
I could tell you'd be a challenge,
And that, you definitely were,
And still are.
I loved you then,
And I love you even more now.
We've had our bad days,
But we've had our good ones too.
And along the rocky path we've taken,
I never thought of giving up on you.
I know sometimes you'd been scared to take that next step,
Fearful of what's to come.
But together we can do anything,
Or go anywhere,
Because you trust me,
And I trust you.
That's why we work so well together.
I love you more than you'll ever be able to understand.
I know you can tell by the tone of my voice,
And the touch of my hand.
You seem so happy.
But, yet, I will never know for sure,
Since you can't talk to me,
But here for you, I'll always be.
I know this poem won't mean a thing to you,
But inside,
I know you love me too.
Even though you'll never be able to show it like I do,
You have a special way of showing your love,
That only a few can see.
I guess I am one of those lucky few,
Because I see your love in everything that you do.
But one thing I do know for sure,
Is that you make me happy.
I hope you are happy too,
For I could never live without a love like you.
