i closed my eyes last night forgot love forgot pain but remembered to take off my shoes, walked to the edge of the world in the wetness of the grass that grows behind my white house in front of the ocean i wished my life last night forgot love forgot pain but remembered to undo my pants took those off too... danced in the rain that tinted my tears that burnt my face in front of the ocean i caught a firefly last night forgot love forgot pain but remembered to slip out of my shirt rolled in the dirt between the cucumbers that grow in my garden in front of the ocean i inhaled smoke last night forgot love forgot pain but remembered to unhook my bra and slide off my panties screamed at the moon that was laughing at my body and ran naked all the way home -------------------------------------------------------- For all the naked people in this world.Walk naked in your backyard at least once in your life. This poem is so RIGHT. Such a wonderful feeling it describes, one which I'm sure too few people know but should experience. I wish we were neighbors. |

If only everyone had the chance for this experience! It's such a beautiful image! I look forward to reading more of your work! ------------------ ~one voice~ *You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.* [This message has been edited by ~one voice~ (edited 07-12-99).] |

Wish we lived next door, then we could run wild together! I least I know there are some people in the world that still believe in nuedity! |

Personally, I'm glad we aren't neighbours (at least I don't think we are). With this poem you have crossed the boundary from proper to improper in an interesting way. Makes me remember when I ran naked in a park in Vancouver, a long time ago. Maybe I can get a poem out of that. Thanks. |

Well you know what daniel2... after checking your profile... we could easily be neibours...Sorry to disapoint you but take comfort in the fact that I am very comfortable with my body but I have not yet become an exhibitionniste!!! Thanks for the comments... It was written as a sort of metaphore...not only as the nakedness of the body but of the soul also... I remember a naked guy that ran in a Park in Vancover... kidding!!! mia |
