Upon the wings of eagles, ...adrift upon the wind, Upon a time were lovers, ...what caused our love to end? When I gazed upon your face, ...t'was kissed by morning sun, Now in my thoughts when you do come, ...I feel as day is done. Below I spy the vast expanse, ...of all that ever was, Wilted petals of the rose, ...hearts' unrequited loves. I look to the horizon, ...to see what is to come, Am blinded by my memories, ...have lost to love aplomb. Circling on the winds above, ...I fear will never land, I fear that I shall never love, ...Since time I lost your hand. [This message has been edited by Tim (edited 07-11-99).] |

Tim, there's a consistency of quality in your poetry. Wonderful poem with an underlying sadness! |
