I Met Her Today I cannot kiss you like before I cannot let you through my door I loved you so but no more I met her today I cannot let you touch my cheek I can no longer let you speak I no longer will be meek I met her today I met you and you lied to me I believed the life you let me see To think I thought you just a mystery I met her today You wined and dined me in romance You made me sigh just from your glance You convinced me to give you a chance Well I met her today You told me you were out of town You said you soon would be around Look at the deception I have found I met her today She called and said we should meet She said she would admit defeat Said she did not want to compete I met her today This beautiful woman who is your wife She is the one who shares your life I took it all in silent strife I met her today I told her to worry not about me You I will no longer see Home with her is where you should be I met her today So I cannot kiss you like before I will not let you in my door You made me feel like such a whore I met her today I hope she believes I did not know She seemed to when I told her so I cannot believe you are so low I met her today I hope she leaves you soon for good She said she will, I know I would And the reason is understood I met her today. ------------------ Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |

I hate to admit it, but this one is a true life story. I think the reason I had to tell it is because HE showed up two years later, wanting to start over, all because she finally did leave him. The nerve! I think I have found the topic for a new piece... ------------------ For sometimes when the Darkness falls, we must surrender, take what is ours, and give what we can, and always remember love is somewhere waiting... |

You made perfect sense and I know that you have alot of women and men that are behind you on this piece.. It was wonderfully written.. When you see the guy again-- give him a good bop on the forhead for me.. Love, Lady "Sometimes the wolves are silent and only the moon howls." -George Carlin ------------------ Live in my world just once and you'll find yourself enraptured. |

Sunshine...I know no greater compliment than that. I look forward to every tale you have to tell. ------------------ For sometimes when the Darkness falls, we must surrender, take what is ours, and give what we can, and always remember love is somewhere waiting... |

Well, everyone has already said everything there is to say, but I had to add my voice to the praise of this wonderful piece. It was beautiful. ------------------ Tout s'en va, tout passe, l'eau coule, et le couer oublie. |
