an attempt at a whim of rhyming...

I knew from the beginning
I was not the only one.
I really was not bothered,
for we had only just begun.
And then those words were whispered
and I fell in love with you.
I don't know what I was thinking-
thought I could be The One for you?
And when I saw she was still there
my heart did break apart.
Jealousy- an awful thing...
should've known right from the start.
And so here, I'm feeling saddened,
and a little bit depressed.
I don't know what I will say
when this issue will be pressed.
the fault lies in my own hands...
I have done this to myself.
But to do... I do not know-
put my heart back on the shelf?
Call me crazy... call me young...
I will not deny...
I'm jealous that you love her too.
Jealousy, no lie.

I guess we all succomb to the little green monster form time to time (but who says he's little, he can take over my every thought). Well written...I enjoyed this one too.

Oh yeah. Jealousy can be so ugly. I've always tried to pretend I don't feel it when it rears it's ugly head. I'm sure I'm not fooling anyone. Great poem.
