Awakening He held me last night until the dark did slip away We shared each others secrets ‘til there was nothing left to say Left only with the comfort of two hearts beating as one Knowing what we felt could never be undone He whispered that he loved me softly in my ear Then shouted it from the roof top so all the world could hear We held each other so closely we seemed to be the same And nothing that we shared brought us any shame We danced upon the moonbeams to an imaginary song It seemed as if the stars knew that we belong High above the world where lovers share their dance Not letting things like gravity get in the way of romance We sailed across the ocean on the sea flavored like wine And every word I spoke to him, he finished the last line Our wings they spread together and we flew so far away Then the strangest thing happened at the start of day… I heard a ringing loudly somewhere near my head I opened my eyes widely, and there I was in bed What a vicious awakening from a dream untrue Oh well, hit snooze again, what can you really do? ------------------ Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |

I must admit that I am one of those people who loves to sleep, for as I have always said "I dream in color". The things that pass through my head in the hours when my body lies resting are some of the best stories I've ever known. So yes...this was truly a dream, one of those you hate to wake from! ------------------ For sometimes when the Darkness falls, we must surrender, take what is ours, and give what we can, and always remember love is somewhere waiting... |
