Day in - Day out. Twentyfour - Seven. Death takes care of business Wherever business takes Him. Sickle in hand, Reaping the field of souls; Collecting the cost of life, The final toll. And when all is said and done Solitude shall be his final pay. With the last time-card clocked That's when Death takes a holiday. But where will He go? What shall He do? For when all are taken, Who will take the Taker? |

ah.....the grim reaper returns, i do like him better in the male gender, for i don't believe death could be a "lady" ![]() ------------------ i never call a poem "nice" or such, for that would not be saying much |

Who will take the taker? A very interesting question, sort of like what does one say to God when He sneezes? Well written, Andrew. |

My Lady Elvira: Personally, I think Death has no gender... Death has no need of sex. It's just my western philosophy upbringing that makes my brain classify Death as male. As for Death not being a lady... I believe a woman is far better at judging the quality of someone's soul. Thanks you for your time and comments, glad you enjoyed. Balladeer: I always appreciate the time you take to stop and read. Your comments, and more your poems, are highly prized as the coin of the realm. My thanks. |
