Oh how I love you so,
but you've hurt me,
and I can't let that go.
You've turned your back on me.
My one and only family.

The pain you have caused me deep inside,
is nothing less than a mile wide.
I can never forgive you for what you've done.
All I can say is I hope you've had your fun.

I know you love me and I love you too,
but the choice you've made only makes me
sad and blue.
The tears roll down my face night after night
They just keep coming no matter how hard I fight.

Just think you have caused me all this pain.
But for what? There is nothing for you
to gain.
Why can't you understand, why can't you see,
That all I want to be......is free.

This is a very thought provoking poem. I think there are cycles in our lives..at any age, there is a need for freedom...being young isn't the only time to want freedom from your family ties!

love this one, i felt the same way when i had to move half way accross the world (9000 miles) from my home i've always loved.
it feels good to know someone else knows how i feel. thanx a bunch! =)
