I was asked to write a sonnet by the teacher of my class A task that I had never tried to do. Shakespearian, Petrarchian ...... my hands are on my as- Pirin bottle-GOD! I just can't wait until I'm through! I've consulted several textbooks and a rhyming dictionary, Countless pages on the internet I'v viewed. I've lost ten pounds, had migraines and, at least one time, miscarried, Had seven nervous breakdowns and the flu! I've called Muhammed, prayed to Buddha, and beseeched the Dali Lama, Begging for their aid to get it right. I've consulted fortune tellers with the hope to ask my mama, But no one joined to help me in my fight! So this is all you're getting ... I am only what I am. I know it's short. Consider it a little sonnet-gram! |
