I would really like it if there was some way you could change your user name. I choose my user name a long time ago and now I really wish I could change it. I've looked for a way to accomplish this but haven't had any luck. Why can't I?

Changing a username involves rebuilding the entire PiPtalk database, and takes several hours to accomplish. The forums may need to be shut down for the process, and it's quite a lot of work for Ron to take on.

With the small number of posts you've got on the boards, you might consider simply registering another name and using it instead...

I thought of that, but I can't figure out how because piptalk is not accepting new people, and wouldn't a new user name be the same as a new person.

The easy way to get a new sign on name is to e-mail one of the administrators and ask to be allowed to join again under the new name.

Done. Be warned, if the system's email to you doesn't get through (as apparently mine didn't last night), you won't have access to EITHER username now. You might want to check your spam filters carefully before deleting any mail.
