I am really not trying to be offensive, in fact, I am not mad at all. I know Ron is extremely busy, but it would be nice if the poetry was updated. |

You're not being offensive at all, DJK. And, yes, it would be nice! For those who don't understand what DJK is talking about, the main Passions site hasn't been updated in a very, very long time. Most of you here in the forums know about our server problems, and will recognize that was a large part of the reason - we simply didn't have enough disk space to add more poems to the main site, and even if we did the server couldn't have handled any more volume. As of today, that is no longer a problem. Passions is now completely off the old server and resting comfortably on Ceres, the dedicated server. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean everyone can find her yet. I asked InterNic, last night, to change the netpoets.com domain over to a new destination, but that process takes time. It's called DNS propogation, as our "address" propogates to all of the named servers in the world. It's starting to happen and Ceres is now playing hostess to roughly a thousand people an hour. But it'll be another 24 hours before most people can find us, and another week before everyone can. I've spent most of the past 17 hours getting the site moved. I'll likely be crashing pretty soon (whether I like it or not), but rest assured DJK that I'm going to spend the next several days getting Passions back to a state where we can all be proud of her. I wonder how long it will take us to fill up a gig of disk space this time?  |
