I’m so tired, do you hear me?
I’m calling out to you.
The bills are coming faster
I don’t know what to do.

There’s no one here to help me
no one to calm my fears.
No one to hear my desperate cries
no one to dry my tears.

No family to turn to
a husband gone to long.
I search my soul for answers
and the strength to carry on.

Each ulcers growing bigger
the Dr. says I’m worse.
If I don’t stop the worry
I’ll be riding in a hearse.

Ha! Who is he to tell me
he’s not helping me.
I have two kids to raise alone
I’m alone here, can’t you see.

God give to me the answers
help me find my way.
Or at least give me the strength
to go on another day.

Tell Peter that I’m sorry
I robbed him to pay Paul.
While your at it tell the car people
I can’t pay them at all.

God help me please I’m begging
send someone to ease the weight.
And if you can’t do this for me
at least meet me at the gate!

Well Said! I think most of use, if not all, can associate with this piece. Although I'm not in the same boat, I'm not all that far away... paycheck to paycheck don't cha know. I only hope your own personal situation isn't this bleak. My best to you and yours.

Lucie

I don't know what to say - hang in there seems so trite. You lift us up, and we stand by silently.

Is it bleak? You have no idea.
I'm feeling so alone.
I had to pawn my wedding rings
to pay the telephone.

Just in case the parole board
decided to call and see.
If everything he said was true
and I want him here with me.

Don't mean to put a damper
on the moods of my new friends.
But isn't that what y'all are for
to turn to in the end?

Its Ok no need to worry
I'll just pull up by my straps.
Stole back from Paul to pay Peter
and let the life insurance lapse. (hehe)

Yep! That's what friends are for. Anytime! Just in case you haven't noticed, I jumped off the fence and I think I've got Toe on the run. My first shots a couple of pages back if you care to look. Again, we're here for ya anytime. Chin up!

Lucie, I've been there! (still go there from time to time). And I sold my wedding rings so I could make a down payment on my car! LOL. Hang in there!

Lucie;
Turn to God. TRUST with all your heart
that He will not let you down. Think
that up to now you've made it. Who
do you think was responsible? He
has been there all along as He is now.

This is what kept me going when times
were tough.

Hey Lucie..I am there now....only I know the money is coming. I work in a school and only get paid 10 months.....this was the first year I didn't find summer employment and the savings didn't last, fending off creditor calls myself! But I know once I start getting paid things will get better...I hope you have some relief in view down the road. Hang in there...and by the way, your poem said it perfectly, nice writing!

Hey Lucie I've been there too, I know the feeling very well. Being in Australia, there's not much I can physically do, but I send you (HUGS) and I know that things can only improve. Smile...please?
