time seems to stand still even though the clock ticks one more hour until he gets his fix his mind wanders and in his conscience he is convicted he craves the feeling in his veins 'cause on coke and heroin he's addicted if he doesn't get it in his mind he will die if he does his troubles will go bye-bye the spoon gets hot and the powder begins to melt in the syreing he puts the liquid on he arm goes the belt the vein pops up and the needle punctures the skin his thumb presses down and the drug goes in his mind brakes free and his thoughts fly away now he has the fix to bring him through the day ------------------ |

Jesus, nicely written, though not a subject I like to read about, my dear old friend of many years is in it too, up to the hilt, and none of us can pull him back..
