Some call me Dew, short for Dewmesoft
my poet name you know.
No matter what you call me by
true friendships start to grow.

So many verses you have seen
some touch you deep inside.
Others show my humor
its a safe place I can hide.

Though people think they know me
and can spot me in a crowd.
There’s pain I share with no one
where others aren’t allowed.

I have to have a safe place
somewhere to call my own.
Where I can keep my deepest thoughts,
where I can be alone.

I go there when I’m lonely
or sad and feeling blue.
I bet you have the same place
way down inside of you.

I try not to visit often
its best to stay away.
I’d rather just be happy,
keep laughter in my day.

For every poem I write of pain
3 more with humor come.
I find it keeps me balanced
and its just a lot more fun.

I dig that sentiment. Nice rhyme... liked the way it flowed. Thanks for sharing this bit of you.

if writing three humor poems for every painful poem is your own remedy, then do what you gotta do. Either way, I enjoy your poems very much.

I'll call you "friend", Lucie, if you'll call me the same! I am always glad to read your poetry.

Lucie:..I think a few of us hide in our humour and somehow when we want to cry or if we can find a smile or someone makes us laughs, the shadows seem a little less bewildering...

Lucie well stated! I think each of us has a place to hide! But I don't think everyone can come back with humor. It's a good thing to bounce back with!
