I'll love you from the early dawn
upon the morn's first ray;
and will continue to, as evening longs
the steal its light away-

I'll love you when our youth has passed
and when our energy descends;
when gray lights our wrinkled brows, so cast
with all that age attends-

I'll love you if you smile or frown
in sadness's gloom or pleasure's light;
and when the pace of life runs down
still will we find delight-
What age has tired, my eyes won't see;
Still, take a moment, and stay with me.

I'll love you for your wondrous eyes
to which my desire is betrayed;
they bear the beauty of endless skies
and will glow when the sky's beauty fades;
When they close too low to see,
They'll reflect their endless dreams on me.

I'll love you as you depart, for now
as the closure of evening sees;
please, take my kiss upon your brow,
and breath your sighs for me!
