Yesterday you were in my heart
Today we're just too far apart
The moment you stepped into my life
Was the turning point of my strife

You see, we were never meant to be
We live in two worlds too far to see
We try to bring them together
But we never seem to get things together

In my mind I think you're cute
But my body doesn't react, my emotions are mute
Could I be over you?
Could this thought even be true?

Maybe I'm still upset at what you did to me
And blocked things out even my like for thee
Maybe next time we can try to work things out
When I feel you're not in doubt

My life will never be the same
But you're not the one to blame
It was my fault to fall head over feet
But this feeling was too hard to beat

Next time I will learn my lesson
Do not put love in session
Until you know your love is the same
So in your heart it will remain.
