The lull of Celtic music that's what does it for me, It reminds me of the love we had, The dreams we had that weren't to be, When I hear the Celtic lilts now I feel so bad. I lay in my darkened room, The only light a single candle, My entire being surrounded by gloom, The force of which is too much to handle. I long to lie within your arms again, To know that utter contentment and peace, To drink in the very essence of you, When will this longing cease? I can go days or weeks without giving you a single thought, Then suddenly the Celtic trigger reminds me, Just what it is I've sought, I seek you and what we had and what will never be. The music is what does it, Cos we are both Celtic through and through, And the music engulfs me as I sit, Reliving our love is all that's left to do. I know I should stop teasing myself, By playing the Celtic songs, But this way our love is still alive, And the nights don't seem so long. So with this music that touched us both, I'll relive all the love, pleasure and pain, And I'll close by eyes and just like the song, You'll be with me once again... ------------------ Words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels. ~Isis~ |
