I sensed her then
I sense her now
Nothing's changed
But, my mistakes
Did you think me blind??
That I couldn't see the love in your eyes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An old shoe
A shoe brand new
Sparkling to the eye
Comfortable underneath
So wonderful to be
Yet,Time passes by
Once new now old
No longer useful
Holes and tears
Needing love and repairs
But, instead comes along
Another new shoe
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is it real??
Is it not??
Does he love her??
Does he not??
Is she living in a dream??
Is she playing make-believe??
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
thanx for sharing these short gems with me...you are right...i did enjoy them...
like the "An Old Shoe" best...thought that the way you referred a relationship to the state of a shoe was unique and brilliant...loved these lines:
Holes and tears
Needing love and repairs
But, instead comes along
Another new show
yes, often when a relationship falls apart,we may not try out means and ways to salvage the relationship but instead let it collapse and fall for someone else....very accurate here
the last poem with the list of questions kind of remind me of a girl peeling off the petals of the rose, asking as she goes along:He loves me...He loves not....
feel the incessant doubt and questioning here
thanx for sharing,Justbleu
