I met a beautiful rose a while back. She was
peeking out of my bushes. Any thing that had
that much beauty had to be a she.
So endearing to my eye, with much care I
moved her, put her in a special place in my
garden.
I fed her, gave her water,God gave her all
the sunshine she needed.
She indeed flourished, even sprouted new buds
to help keep her company, all pink I might add. At mid-summer she was so beautiful her
smell so alluring, even passers' by stopped
to stare at tremendous beauty.Late summer then gave way to fall, and my beautiful rose I could see was fading, into her seasonal fate. Soon there was snow on the ground, and all I could find was the place where she once could be found. winter carried on, it seemed to last forever. It eventually
gave way to spring. One warm afternoon I
was walking through my garden, and much to
my surprise, there she was fresh, and new.
I was overjoyed to see her amongst the
living. I said I thought you had died never
to be seen again, she said no I was just
merely sleeping.

Richard, I loved your poem, it's very warm
It captures the cyclical rhythm of nature so beautifully, and the last line stole my heart.
