An offer of an open hand, an open heart to you.
In return you offer friendship, simple, pure and true.
So many friends have come and gone destinies unknown.
But rarely does one come along with qualities you’ve shown.

You’ve not delved into my private life or asked a lot of me.
Just offering your quiet strength in word and poetry.
You’ve taught me how to view the world with someone else’s eyes.
That though each person looks for truth, they must also search for lies.

Two opposites attract sometimes each sharing a small part.
Of pain and pleasure, tears and smiles, personality and heart.
I am proud that we could overcome the differences we had.
We found the strength to share our feelings, some were happy and some sad.

I hope that in the future we will remain friends you and I
forging little differences and finding friendship binds that tie.
Please accept from me these simple words that I have put to rhyme.
I pray that forever you will allow me to call you a friend of mine.

Lucie...you have said so much here. This is a beautiful tribute for Dream. And you will find that his friendship is as unique and wonderful as he is. I know I truly treasure him.

Lucie, this was a great poem, and such a nice tribute (for lack of another word) to DreamEvil. I enjoyed it-nice to know how people are brought together here.

Hey Lucie,
Let's get in a really big fight - just so you can write me something like this when we make up.
Seriously, this is so well written and so touching at the same time, I found it quite extraordinary.

Shoot, Lucie - if Dreamie doesn't like this poem, can you repost it for me???? I'd love to have something this well written just for me.

Beautifully said, a worthy tribute to a new friendship. It's the lasting kind that matter..

Well now, finally have I arrived at this wonderful tribute to me. Echo all of the above, dear friend and add to it my own feelings of friendship for you.
'Twas indeed a rocky start to our friendship, yet that let me know you all the better. Thank you very much for this verse, Lucie.

pFF, I'll leave kissing you to Michael but I wouldn't mind the making up to settle our differences.
