Food on every corner
A smorgasbord of fat
Smothered in deep fried grease
The taste is all just that

Feast upon this diet
Of burgers and french fries
Or two lard tacos as
Death! your artery cries

Health isn't an issue
Eat quickly my time slave
Lower cholesterol?
Laughs the cook to your grave

Well, I like this tribute to the truly great dishes of the world.

There is no greater snack
Than a luscious, thick Big Mac.
Can't wait to sink my choppers
Into one of them there Whoppers.
I used to go for Wendys
Before it became too trendy
SO now I spend my evenings
Down at my favorite Wings and Things.

Just toss those french fries on the side
And I'm completely satisfied.
And I'm as healthy as can be,
I get my daily vitamin G.

Lady Caroline: Many thanks for stopping by. As much as I love good home cooked food, I'm still occasionally found down at the corner with a grease burger and death sticks on the side. Call me weak and worthless but I'm a product of my environment.

Sir Balladeer: Good to know that Floyd hasn't deposited you somewhere in Kansas. As for that Vitamin G? I think its a matter of quality vs. quantity. Carls' Jr. is my brand of choice. Do they really have a Wings & Things in Florida. And if so... What are the things? Some within these hall would have us believe its sheep.

Ewe kidding? Mary had the little lamb..I had the double cheeseburger with bacon strips smothered in onions and hollandaise sauce. Yes, we do have Wings and Things. What are the Things? Some "things" are better off unknown,,,,but they taste good. Vitamin G is grease, of course. Does a body good!

Hollandaise sauce! On a double cheese with bacon! Sounds Great! We're not allowed to have those in California. Something to do with air quality control... or to many additives...Who knows! Ya know, I've got an uncle in Florida who just loves to cook lamb in his firepit. Must be a regional thing.

Good acrostic indeed! Though I have to admit I love my grease food too, with death sticks!

Dsnyder & WhtDove: Thanks for looking in, always appreciated. Yep, that's my second acrostic. Boy! but those things are difficult. Took me three days and several trips to the grease pit to get it just right. Glad you enjoyed.
