Not exactly sure where I was going with this when I wrote it a while back. Liked it though. A sanctuary for you A place to remain in light, under glass ceilings, With storms of pouring down sun rays Filtering brilliant glass stains of every hue. A silent world of thought and light, Peace surrounding you, Bombarding you from all directions until your soul lifts off. You, rising above you, You see a figure in radiant light and From all directions you are aware. You pray for everlasting serenity, To never abandon this shining world, To see your soul as it grows with no bounds, Filling the world with all that is you. |

This is beautiful....the imagery of the sanctuary, the stained glass. Reminds me of the times people used to claim sanctuary in churches to escape things the feared or persecution. Nicely done! ------------------ "This world is not conclusion. A sequel stands beyond, Invisable as music, But positive as sound." ~Emily Dickinson |

Beautifully written, we all need sanctuary on occasion.......a different realm to visit. ------------------ Words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels. ~Isis~ |

Poet de Vine, Thank you. I'm glad you loved the last line. I was fond of it, too. Isis, Thank you, too. We all do need a sanctuary on occasion. I felt lucky to find this one in words. It worked for me. Thanks again. Tyson |

Severn, Thank you. It's a great surprise when the last stanza just sort of "pops in there". Thanks again. Tyson |
