I’m a dumb as the clowns And as wealthy as kings All I own is my language And the six silver strings In the eye of a blizzard Or in the circle of friends I will always feel warm With a guitar in my hands Go ahead, strip me naked Burn all of my things But I beg you, please leave me The six silver strings With a sense of fulfilment Or without a sense I will always be happy With a guitar in my hands All I have is my conscience And my conscience still sings To the sound of music Of the six silver strings ------------------ I fell in love and kept on falling |

Master, you sound like my husband! Only his all consuming passion is the 4 stringed variety! Very cute! ------------------ Denise |

Ooops...love the poem, love the music that six strings bring, but alas the only strings I know, are the one's I'm on the end of....forgive my strange mind, I feel a need to say, pluck me....oops...wicked humour needs sleep, methinks! HUGS ------------------ You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give. |

I don't play, but I love to listen to the guitar. THanks for your comments. PS: LOL, RainbowGirl did I tell you I was a master of puppets, pulling those strings you're hanging on. *S* ------------------ I fell in love and kept on falling |

wow...another fine one. I have come to expect no less where you are concerned though ------------------ "This world is not conclusion. A sequel stands beyond, Invisable as music, But positive as sound." ~Emily Dickinson |

My musical talent consists solely of an ability to appreciate the talents of others. *G* But I do love the guitar... nice poem! |

I wish I had musician's skills... oh well, guess I was born to be a poet. Thanks Seymore! |
